Camper FAQ

Q:  Do you have a minimum or maximum rental duration?

A:  During peak rental season (Memorial day through the end of September), we require a three night minimum stay.  Outside of those dates, we have a two night minimum.  We are not opposed to longer duration (seven nights +) rentals, if it works out with a campers’ schedule.

Q:  Do you offer discounts?

A:   The rate listed for the camper on our website is the price you will pay for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays nights through the summer.  Those nights have by far the highest demand so we do not offer discounts for those nights.  If your rental includes a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night (and you meet the minimum order amount listed above), then we will offer a discount.  Typically, we do 1/2 rate for those nights.

For example, the rental rate listed is $90 per night.  You are picking up on Thursday and then returning the camper on Tuesday.  Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday will each be $90/night.  Monday will be $45 (1/2 rate).  Your total rental fee would be $405.

Q:  Do you allow pets?

A:  Yes.  We do allow pets for an additional $10/day/pet.  A $100 refundable pet deposit will be added to your security deposit as well.

Q:  Do you charge extra for holidays?

A:  Yes, there is a $10/night premium added to holiday reservations.  The premium will be added to three of the nights in your reservation depending on the day that the holiday lands on.  Here are a couple examples to help clarify.

Q:  Is there a limit as to how far I can transport a camper?

A:  We include 250 miles round trip in the rental fee.  We will ask where you plan to take the camper and will calculate the total mileage.  If your trip will be further than 250 miles round trip, then a $0.15 per mile fee will be added to your order.

Q:  What size hitch and ball will I need?

A:  All of our campers require a 2” receiver and 2 5/16” ball.  Each camper comes with its own sway bar hitch that you may use, if you want.

Q:  How do I know if my vehicle can tow the camper?

A:  The GVWR weight of each camper is listed on its page.  Please verify that you vehicle’s towing capacity is greater than the GVWR of the camper you are interested in.  Your vehicle will also need a seven blade electrical receiver in order to pull one of the campers.

Q:  What about insurance?

A:  The liability insurance for your vehicle should transfer to anything you are towing.  You should confirm this with your insurance company prior to  booking though.  You are responsible for any damage caused to the camper while its in your possession.

We just found out recently that the renter cannot obtain short term insurance on a camper because they do not own it.  If you would like insurance on the camper, then you can purchase a short term policy/agreement through us.  Please ask for more information.

Q:  What do I need to do to reserve a camper?

A:  Find the camper that you want and verify that it is available on the availability calendar.  Once you do that, click "make a reservation", add the camper to your cart (type in quantity "1"), and submit the reservation request.  You should get a message that says your quote has been submitted.  I will message you back with more information.
