2011 Shadow Cruiser
2011 Shadow cruiser for rent. The camper is 21' long and can sleep six to eight people (two queen pop outs, table that folds into a bed, and a couch that folds into a bed). The dry weight is approximately 3,600 pounds so you can easily pull it with a large SUV or truck. We typically tell people to assume 5,000 pounds as there is oftentimes additional weight added to the camper.
The camper has the following features: Overhead Air Conditioning, Furnace, Hot water heater, Oven, Stove top with 3 burners, Shower, Toilet, Refrigerator/Freezer, Power Awning, CD player
We provide some basic necessities like a lighter, dish soap, cleaning supplies, silverware, some bowls and cups, a broom. The renter is responsible for bringing pillows, linens, toilet paper, paper towel, trash bags, and any other items that they might want/need for a camping trip. We are willing to share our "master camping list" so please ask if you'd like to see that to help with your packing.
Rental Fee: We have a minimum rental duration of three nights. The standard rental rate for the camper is $90 per night for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays for the summer. If you rent the camper during the week, then we can sometimes offer a lower rate so please ask for a quote, if you are interested. Please note that a higher rate may apply for holidays and high demand weekends throughout the summer (MIS weekends, Faster horses, etc). Please check the availability calendar for availability and estimated rates. You may submit a quote request or message us directly if you want an exact price.
If you are taking the camper further than 250 miles round trip, then a $0.15/mile charge will be added to your fee.
Security Deposit: A $300 security deposit (the “Security Deposit”) is required to rent the camper if your rental fee is $300 or greater (ie. If your rental fee is $450, then your deposit would be $300 so $750 total). If your rental fee is less than $300, then the deposit will match your rental fee (ie. If your rental fee is $225, then your security deposit would be $225 so $450 total).
Holding Fee: To reserve the camper, the renter must sign the contract and pay a $100 holding fee, which will go towards the rental fee. The reservation is not official until the holding fee is received. We do not save the camper for someone just because they put in a quote request. Please pay your holding fee as soon as possible so that your requested date range is officially reserved.
Cancellations: If you must cancel your reservation and are 14 days or greater away from the Rental Period Start Date, then all payments made will be returned. If you cancel your reservation and you are less than 14 days away from the start date, then you forfeit your $100 holding fee. All other payments made will be returned as soon as possible. If we must cancel, for any reason, then 100% of the money paid to us will be returned.
Towing Requirements: The camper requires a truck that can pull approximately 5,000 pounds and has a 7 blade electrical hookup. We have a sway bar hitch that you can use, if you chose. If you prefer to use your own, then it needs a 2 5/16" ball.
Delivery: We would prefer that the renter pick up and transport the camper him/herself; however, there may be times where we can help with delivery. In those cases, we charge $1/mile round trip for drop off and pick up as well as a $50 setup and take down fee. For example, if the location is 50 miles from our house, then we would charge $250 for delivery (50 miles there for drop off, 50 back, 50 miles there for pick up, 50 miles back home, and then $50 for setting up the camper and then picking it up, which includes dumping the tanks at the campground). If you are not at a campground, then we charge an additional $50 to dump the tanks at a wastewater treatment facility.
Pets: We do allow pets in the camper for an additional $10/day/pet and an additional $100 refundable pet deposit.
Orientation: We will provide a quick orientation to show you how to use the key features on the camper. If you ever get stuck on something, then feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to help remotely.
